    XFX 9800 GT dead

    Hi all,

I have a XFX 9800 GT dead graphics card in my dell PC. The major problem with it, it’s about 5-6 months old. The problem is that when running a war of worldcraft (WOW) game everything goes shaky including the menu screen - all the colors are mix together to red. I don know what is the problem with my machine. Any idea. Please help.

You need to to install a new video card driver follow this procedure.
1.You need to write down the current driver version in case you desire to go back to it.
2.Download the new driver onto your local harddisk.
3.You need to add use "Add and Remove Programs" from the Control Panel to remove the currently installed video driver. This will cause Windows to use a default VGA driver with conservative settings. Windows will still be usable.
    4. After that Install the new driver. Please note that the "roll back driver" option does not appear to work.

Update your video graphics card driver. The cards and drivers change rapidly, being driven by intense competition, and high customer demand for new features. Most computers have video drivers installed from the factory or from the operating system default. Often the video drivers are two years old. This is an eternity in the time frame of video drivers. In many cases, installing a new driver will fix your problems.

You need to change your hardware acceleration setting. This help some older drivers without have any visible distress on performance. Go to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot and alter the slider labeled "Hardware acceleration.". This setting should say the following : Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations. Use this situation to correct trouble with the mouse pointer, or to correct problems with corrupt images.

You need to right click on an empty area of the desk top. Then, select "Properties" and "settings" . You must be clever to change the screen resolution and color quality. If you can't adjust these settings click on the "advanced" button and then the "adapter" tab. if the adapter type designed is not your Fx 5200 then the driver inform did not work and you will need to back out that driver or download another driver.
