My nforce 680i Lan network adapter 1GB is not working. I have observed that the led is always lighten up. When I go to the system properties , it only show the network adapter with the nforce 680i. I have also checked the bios setting, both the values there are enabled. If you have an solution for this problem then please let me know , i am interested. Thank you for your help.

Re: Nvidia nforce 680i Lan problem

Hello,
If you can given more specification of your complete system then it would be good to recognize the problem. If you can provide then include the model number or name of all the hardware and also the operating system that you are using. I hope you will post back with the configuration of your hardware and software.

Hello,
You can do a check manually, when your operating system boots up at is before the bios hands over the operating system, you can find an assignment IRQ table there. Then press the break / pause key on your keyboard and you should see all the Nvidia devices listed there, if not then follow these steps.

- then Press the power button.
- you will need to open the side panels
- now move to the CMOS jumper
- move the jumper to the clean position
- wait for atlest 10-15 minutes
- now you will need to move the CMOS to its original position
- finally start the computer

Re: Nvidia nforce 680i Lan problem

Hello,
In my bios setting at the AI NET2 , I have the following entries
Code:
1-2 3-4 5-6 7-8 open
I think this says that the LAN is detected. My guess is that it is 185.55m in length, though I am not sure of this. And about the IRQ you are talking about, sorry, I do not have any idea of it. IF you can explain me in some more details then I hope I can understand it.

Hello,
If you are confused with the IRQ assignment table, then you can skip it, I think there is a option in the BIOS about the full screen logo or some thing like that, I am not sure what exactly the property name is, but it will have two values off and on. You will need to switch it to on so that you can skip the IRQ assignment table. Also the memory count and the IDE are skipped, though I am not sure of these. If you need then you can just try changing the values.

Re: Nvidia nforce 680i Lan problem

If you have read your config you will see that the two pc are connected via a switch and that in this case the right hand is recommended for a certain switch able to uncross. Just try this and if it does work well and good and if it does not then we will find an alternative to this.
