I was just roaming around an world wide web and have seen an Asus laptop with ATI Mobility 5730 Video card which was having 1GB DDR3 VRAM. I just want to know that what kind of performance can ATI Mobility 5730 give and how it works.

An ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 has been provided with an Asus laptop. This graphic card is a mobile performance class graphic card with the native DirectX 11 support. But i guess HD 5750 is a better one then that of 5750 as 5730 has no GDDR5 support which is there in ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5750. But i think as it 5730 is coming along with the laptop itself then i do not see any need to change it with some other one. But you may compare the prices for buying a laptop without graphic card and then having a new GPU for your laptop.
I think ATI Mobile 5730 is good graphic card to play the games or i must say that it must be supporting you for playing a high graphic games. And this card supports for the DirectX 11 and Shader 5.0. Electricity consumption by this card is about 26 watt and it is compatible with the medium sized laptops. This card has been recently launched in past few months.
From my point of view, there are huge number graphic cards which you can use with your laptop and i guess you must not stuck by buying an Asus laptop which has an Ati Mobile 5730 graphic card. If you are going to buy this laptop only then i suggest you to buy it without any graphic card as you can select for the any better graphic card then this one. It might happen that it will be costing you bit more but that would be worth it.
The ATI Mobility Radeon HD5730 is an intermediary graphic card which can be used with the laptops. The HD5730 has an integrated DDR3/GDDR3 memory capacity with a PCI Express 2.1 X 16 bus interface. The HD5730 is prepared with 400 stream processors which provides the support for DirectX 11 functions in the hardware such as OIT, post-processing, HDR, texture, and compression.
