Will an aTI 5850 work in a XFX 750a sli mb

Hi,
I am going to buy a new ATI 5850 graphic card for my system. Here is my system configuration. I have a 4GB RAM support on nForce XFX 750a sli motherboard. I want to ask weather this card is quiet compatible with the motherboard. I had purchased this one some time before. I was not having a GPU support at that time. So I need help on upgrading the same. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure that the graphic card which you want to put on your motherboard will fit that. The minimum requirement for the GPU is PCI Express 2.1 x16 bus interface to work smoothly. And the motherboard which you are using has PCI Express 2.0 support on it. It is possible that it might work but for long run I will not recommend you for the same.

The card will work definitely. All you need here is a good power supply unit on your system. The card support the downgrade option where you can fit the same on the PCI Express 2.0 slot. But it is also possible that your system will not give good performance over the same. Even after the latest driver support the graphic can be a bit slow on the screen.

The ATI 5850 is based on the first GPU DirectX 11 in market, codenamed Cypress, with a number of units, frequency and therefore a sale price revised downwards. It is well equipped with 1440 units of calculation instead of 1600 and 72 texture units instead of 80, while the frequency of the chip and memory are lowered to 750 and 1000 MHz, respectively 850 and cons 1200 MHz for its predecessor. I think this will not support your board.

It is possible to use old hardware on new but now new hardware on a old machine. There are lots os system issues there. Radeon HD 5850 is a new generation of graphics cards from ATI in comparisons to Radeon HD 4850 or 4870. A reasonable variation of the flagship, both in performance and price. Equipped with the same amount of 1 GB of GDDR5 memory as 5870, it is shorter and less energy.

ATI Radeon 5850 is a good choice for gaming support but for the configuration part it is necessary that you have a upgrade system. Or else you had spended money on the card and later on you will face issue with the motherboard which is a worthless investment. Motherboard based on XFX nForce 750a SLI chipset, NVIDIA signed, cheaper than the 780a, but with few features and less.

This chipset which you are using is the solution mainstream gamer to nVidia. It is supposed to be cheap, but does not include the HybridPower. In contrast, the nForce 730a is equipped with GeForce Boost. It can give you a lower level graphics card performance and on the other hand handle the power. It features a single slot PCIe 2.0 x16 which is a entry level and not SLI.
