    Samsung Plasma TV Troubleshooting

    Hi,
I have a Samsung Plasma TV at my home which is not working properly. I am facing power issues in the TV set. First of all the Plasma TV does not turn on at the starting. But after pressing the power button two three time a click sound comes out on turning it off. It takes a long time to power on the TV. What can be the problem in this and how to fix it.

The first thing you will need to do is to check the Power Outlet. For this just plug in the TV on the power outlet and then see that weather you see a light on the lower panel of TV. The light must be on. It is located next to the power button. I will recommend you not to use a power strip on your tv. That means simply avoid power extension cord and instead of that plug the TV set directly in the power outlet.

Yes that is right. You must use any power extension cord on the TV. Because sometime that power strip is defective which does not provide a regular current to the TV and can cause server damage. Put the same directly to the power outlet and check back. The most important is that you must check the power supply section of TV. Check the wire also.

Many times the TV creates a clicking sound on start up when it has not been used for a long period. The TV when remains inactive for a particular period of time, and then if you turn it on suddenly you can then here the clicking sound. This is not a big issue and here you does not need to worry about this sound. But if the same comes multiple time then that is a problem.

The click sound is not a big issue until and unless it comes regularly. It the same happening in your TV then it is damaged. The symptoms of the same is that your TV suddenly gets power off or there is constant on and off function carried on by the TV. If the TV does not turns on then you will need to show the TV to Samsung Service center for repair.

In your TV just check weather the standby light is getting on while the power button is set to on. If the light does not turn on that means your power outlet is working fine. But there is some component damage inside the TV. It is possible that the power supply or any other electrical component is failed due to which the TV is not working and need to be repaired.
