Well the GTX480 is direct competition of the 5870 just because of having only one gpu, if NVIDIA dual vga would take out any direct competition from 5970, and been revised after reviews but have not persuaded me the numbers and seen as games the gtx480 cod5 that devours the 5970 and other games in art leaving disappointed with the performance, have to see how polished the drivers of both companies and as prices go downhill, which is that we care if we change in the future VGA.

Although the manufacturer has not confirmed completely official and final, I think that there is no doubt that Nvidia plans to launch a new range of graphics in the coming weeks, and that its name will be NVidia GeForce 400 Series. We know that mounted GPU, so-called Fermi. Also very interesting from the time 3:40, a small demonstration of what they call NVidia 3D Surround Vision, or what is the same, emulating 3D video without the need for a special display, using some simple glasses. "Have you noticed also that they have multiple monitors connected? It is a two NVidia SLI GTX 480, does not seem to be launching something like direct competition to ATi Eyefinity.

What is the single GPU card the fastest time? The GeForce GTX 480. It's not enough to play? eVGA think of you. Indeed, the company has successfully used a system consisting of four cards in SLI, with a prior a modified connection (officially, NVIDIA SLI limited to three cards). This system certainly offers (presumably) high performance, but it requires a lot of power: a single card consumes less than 300 W load. Everything is here mounted on an X58 motherboard (obviously with EVGA), a chipset with enough lines for PCI-Express that each card has a bandwidth correctly. And with 2 HD 5970 alone, there is probably not so far from 4 GTX 480 in pure performance, with the key :
    • A lower consumption: 600 W for both ATI cons 1000 W for GeForce 4.
    • It requires only two PCI-Express 16X
    • It costs obviously cheaper
