    Ati 5770 + 8500GT 512MB for PhysX

    Hi,
I have a Asus 8500GT 512MB GPU support in my system. I had added this new one and I already have a vga Ati 5770 1GB. Does it possible to use Physx on older version of cards. If yes then how to do that. I am not able to get the settings properly here. This might now support but there can be some patch support for this. Where can I look for the same. I also need some tips on using the same on Windows 7.

I had too tried similar settings in my pc with the latest nividia drivers and then after a while I run a patch for enabling the GPU. But everything fails here and thsi does not support on the older version of GPU. The only possible way to make this work is locate the appropriate drivers for the same. Once you got them, then there are chances of using the same on older GPU.

Of course, a first patch had recently emerged, creating the perception that your GeForce everything was fine, it was not mixed with a wicked Radeon. We could trust the usual practices for NVIDIA to follow up on this case and, through an update of its PhysX driver, the chameleon has introduced a new measure-cons to stop the functioning hybrid.

Questioned on the subject by several of our colleagues across the Atlantic, NVIDIA has defended this choice by stating that it was primarily the quality of the offer. Compatibility testing with Radeons and their drivers could not be performed by the chameleon, who wants to deliver the best possible experience for the user. I am not sure weather this will work or not.

It was then hoped to use a Radeon graphics card as primary and as a GeForce card dedicated to PhysX. This was not possible. But with the arrival of Windows 7, this had changed. In fact, up until recently, it was possible to combine maps of both manufacturers. A situation that one would have thought fit for NVIDIA as it allowed him to sell the GeForce cards as complementary, to have PhysX, at a time or GPU are not recognized brand to offer a price / performance ratio explosive.

Asus is one of only two manufacturers to offer a PhysX card. Dubbed PhysX P1 card was initially be equipped with 256 MB of memory, but Asus has finally seen his copy and trade cards will be equipped with only 128MB of memory. It is currently too early to say if more memory would influence double the performance of SSP. The PhysX P1 comes in the guise of a PCI card and one could almost confuse it with a graphics card! It must be said that besides the blue PCB, Asus has covered a cooler chip in any way similar to that used on its GeForce 6600.
