1920 x 1080 display resolution not supported by Video Bios setting

I have recently bought a Dell S2309W 23 inch LCD monitor which i am trying to install on my system but having issue with the resolution. As i am using the Toshiba Satellite M105-S322. After the installation of the new monitor i have performed the BIOS update also but the problem is that it is showing the 1920 x 1440 and 2048 x 1536. But 1920 x 1080 display resolution not supported by Video Bios setting. So help me for this issue. Thank you.

First let me know which chipset it is using? So that we can understand the actual problem and find the solution for your issue. Any ways have you installed the Graphic Driver for the same. If not then do that first and then check whether you are getting the desired resolution or not. Hope this will work for you.

As you are using the Mobile Intel 945 chipset that is in the Toshiba laptop and not getting the desired resolution so let me tell you that this Intel board does not having the support for the 1920 x 1080 display resolution. So it is not having any effect whether you install the latest driver for this or not. That all i can help you.

It is better to ask about the problem to the official site of the manufacturer as they are having the better solution for this issue. As you are using the Toshiba laptop then you have to contact the Toshiba Tech Support and they might have the solution as they have gone through this issue. So do as i said and work with your issue.
