Having trouble finding stable nvidia drivers for opensuse 11.2

    Hi all,

NVIDIA back in November last year before has been engaged in 195.xx Linux driver work, but until NowThey have not officially released the stability of this series driver. Beta has been provided, and they also had to recall that as the fan speed problems, may cause damage to the system, the latest drivers. Can anybody suggest me best stable nvidia drivers for opensuse 11.2. Thanks in advance.

NVIDIA's Unix driver team has released a pre-release version 195.36.15. As in the past, the pre-release version of the driver may eventually be used as a stable version, unless a last-minute problems. 195.36.15 version of the official release of the GPU fan speed fix the problem, one when the X server does not work in an activation of VT support will crash, and a lead-date with SDDR3 and GDDR5 memory GPU can not perform electrical level translation error. x86 and x86_64 platforms NVIDIA Linux driver download link can be found in the forums. NVIDIA also provides the 195.36.15 for FreeBSD and OpenSolaris pre-release version, but also contains the same changes. Check and reply.

In openSUSE system, installation of NVIDIA's graphics driver options you have three ways:
    1. YaST installation of a key: as long as the point of the mouse, the installation automatically
    2. Using the NVIDIA software source: their own software from source NVIDIA binary graphics cards to find the compiled package
    3. Manual installation: Use the Linux platform, NVIDIA released drivers, compile it yourself to install graphics driver, which is under the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver installed on the system's general method.

You need to follow the steps:

    2. Add NVIDIA rpm-md Source: ftp ://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/10.2/To the package manager.
    # To add in YaST, go to Software -> Installation Source. Click Add, Select Specified URL. Enter the above URL and click Next, And then click Complete。
    # Or, to through Zypper To achieve, do:
    zypper sa ftp: //download.nvidia.com/opensuse/10.2 nvidia

Having trouble finding stable nvidia drivers for opensuse 11.2

Although this was contained in a lot of chaos, but it looks like the real origin is OpenSuSE's official website, it seems its and "NVIDIA" really hooked. Only the source address and the name of the software and server to be altered:
    Software Source Name: NVIDIA
    Server Name: download.nvidia.com
    Server directory: / opensuse/11.0
Just think, ATI and NVIDIA if the unified. That is not the same as the? But it clearly can not ah. Moreover, this route may have to "adhere to the basic line for a century without wavering." . The security software (driver): nvidia-gfxG01-kmp-pac x11-video-nvidiaG01 xorg-x11-driver-video-nouveau-3d.
Basically that's all. Think of themselves as the other equipment determined mood. Best of luck.
