    Confused to buy LCD monitors

    Hi all,

Recently, I learned from a major display forum, a great number of consumers of liquid crystal displays will encounter a lot of problems selling point for some liquid crystal displays and feel a dilemma, not knowing how to choose. Such as the recent concern of ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio, LED LCD, green liquid crystal and so on, both rational answer, there are the wrong guide. I want to buy LCD monitors, How can i distinguish between genuine and, to identify right from wrong? Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Contrast as the most important indicator of liquid crystal displays has been the focus of attention of consumers. we have to first understand the significance of contrast, in fact, simpler definition of display brightness, white and black luminance ratio. From this definition we can easily find: the same white / black brightness, contrast is more vivid sense of the higher-level screen. For example a full-white screen display in the display when the value of the measured brightness of 200cd / m, all-black screen brightness measured 0.5cd / ㎡, it is a 400:1 contrast ratio. As the test display all white and all black when the screen is not the case, so now we have seen displays in the test evaluation method of contrast, there are mainly two. The first is let the display device displays a white screen, measuring the brightness values; and then full-screen black, measured brightness values, obtained contrast values, also known as full-full-off (Full ON Full OFF) contrast. The second: is the ANSI contrast ratio test method, showed 16 black and white checkerboard pattern, respectively, each box on the screen was measured black luminance and white luminance to the average contrast value can be derived as ANSI contrast method in accordance with ANSI Test results contrast the minimum, because the white areas of light will affect the brightness of dark areas, thus becoming the most stringent test of the testing methods. In the "Dynamic Contrast" after the release of this concept, the value would be greatly increase. The so-called dynamic contrast ratio, refers to the liquid crystal display, in some specific cases the contrast of the measured values. Many manufacturers use on backlight lamp control circuit has been improved so that it can screen the contents of the level of sophistication to dynamically adjust backlight lamp brightness, so that its wholly-black-screen display brightness to the lowest level lower so as to return for more a high dynamic contrast ratio. Check and reply.

We first like to recognize the advantages of dynamic contrast ratio technology, will help to show the details of the dark, under the screen out of the game and the movie, because of the dark images are more, this time with a dynamic contrast ratio technology, LCD screen can be reflected a sense of hierarchy, the details spelled out. But in the dynamic contrast ratio is as high as possible on this issue, the author also had reservations about, in fact super-10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio in practical applications, and there is not much difference, for ordinary users, the value of dynamic contrast ratio size of the display should not be as a measure of good and bad standards. Best of luck.

Supports D-SUB port point of view is not enough, believes that the analog signal to digital mode for the display image information generated by digital / analog into R, G, B RGB signals and horizontal and vertical sync signals, and then transmitted via cable to the LCD display, rather then through the liquid crystal display inside the A / D (analog / digital) converter, the analog signals into digital signals. It is precisely because after the D / A and A/D2 conversions inevitably result in some loss of image detail. The DVI digital interface, digital interface ensures that all digital format for transmission, ensure the host to monitor the integrity of the information transmission process. Therefore, the purchase of LCD is equipped with DVI interface required to purchase the product. All the best.
