External monitor is not recognized in Snow Leopard

Hello, I am facing one problem with the External monitor is not recognized in Snow Leopard. i am using the iMac and the Snow Leopard and the monitor which i am trying to connect is unable to detect in the same. And i need to perform the same any how so if any one have knowledge about the setting up external monitor then please help me with same.

I think you should check the check the connection of your monitor with the iMac. As this can be possible that there are some of the of the bad connection takes place. Just make sure you have properly connected all the cable. Now restart your computer and check whether it is working or not. If no then might be some of your cable is not functioning properly. Check and replace them.

I am having the same issue with the Snow Leopard running MacBook which is unable to detect the external monitor. I have searched about the same and found that this issue is faced by most of the Snow Leopard user and Apple is not yet found the solution of the same. I think that Apple is looking towards this issue and give the solution of it soon.

Have you tried PRAM and NVRAM resetting of the system so that you can get the default setting of the system which will help your system to detect the external monitor of yours if any of the software is creating issue with the same. If not then do that once and see whether the same is working for you or not.
