Monitor doesn't wakeup from sleep mode

From when its happening? any changes made recently in system? which monitor you are using with windows 7? does this monitor works fine with another operating systems? do you have dual boot? if so then is same thing happens with the another OS also ? by this way you can figure out if the problem is with windows 7 or your monitor.

    Change power management settings

Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 when you system bots up and select safe mode. After booting in safe mode go into control panel and turn off all power management by setting them to never in the power option settings. And also turn off the hibernate option.

    Installing and upgrading video drives

The first thing to verify is that all your drivers are properly installed. Upgrade the video drivers first, Go into Device manager and check if you find any yellow exclamation marks in front of any hardware device entry. If you find the install drivers for that hardware.
