    monitor not working for windows 2003 server

    i have samsung 740 n monitor. i am presently using xp. i installed 2003 server also recently but the problem is my monitor is not working giving message not optimum mode. pls help

    To resolve your problem, right-click an open area of your desktop and select Properties. Select the Settings tab at the top of the screen. Use the screen resolution slider in the bottom left until it displays 1280 by 1024. Or conversely, you can click the Advanced button at the bottom right and select the Adapter tab at the top of this new window. In the bottom of the window there will be a "List of All" Profiles. Click and select 1280 by 1024, true color (32 bit), 60 Hertz.
