| Windows 7 dual monitor
I just upgraded to 7 from Vista and I want to extend my monitor to my TV for watching movies online. I plugged the S-video cable in, went to the display settings and hit "detect" because a second monitor was not showing. The screen blinks on and off for a minute and then the computer shuts down and restarts. This continues until I pull the S-video cable out. I have a Dell Inspiron and it's just a regular old TV but it worked fine with Vista. Has anyone encountered this? Any idea what's going on? |

Oops, just had to update the display adaptor driver or whatever it's called. Never mind, thanks anyway! |

| Re: Windows 7 dual monitor
Before you start, change the display settings to 800 x 600, you have to do this since most TVs will not support higher resolution settings because, there is no need for greater resolution, to enjoy their movies or to see your monitor screen of your TV. And also ensure that all hardware is connected before turning on your computer, you may have problems getting the video card to recognize the TV as second monitor. |
