need a configuration for decent gaming experience

hi,
i would like to have a pc configuration for playing games like far cry, crysis, cod4 etc.
my choice of graphics card is ati radeon hd 4870x2
i can't be sure what could be a compatible motherboard and processor for it.
and what kind of cooler (for gpu / cpu or both(?)) would i be looking at?

As per my knowledge if you use the ASUS P5E3 Premium motherboard then it will be the best option because i am running the same and find no issue with the ATI card. SO advise you to do the same. Hope you like it. Thank you

You select hard drive capacity and the DVD drive according to your need. Hopefully the post helps.
