This is the problem of the computer because you have mentioned that the monitor is turning on. You can see the monitor light turned on. Open the case of the CPU of your computer system. Then do the following things mentioned below.

1-Remove the video card from the Motherboard and fix it properly.
2-Try to clear the CMOS of the computer system from the jumpers.

Do this and reconnect everything to the computer system. After this the system will start and you will see the display on the monitor screen.

As you are saying that the display signal is not coming in the BenQ FP2091 monitor from the CPU, So you are not able to see anything on the monitor screen. This can be the very normal problem of the Display cable which is connected to your computer CPU and the monitor. Remove the VGA display Cable from the back of the CPU and connect it properly again to the slot. This will solve the display problem in your computer.

The problem can be with the Video controller of your computer system. Check the setting of the video controller device of your computer system. Change the setting of the display if there is any problem in it. As your monitor is not working, Connect this to some other monitor and change the settings according to your monitor. Refer the setup manual which is delivered with the BenQ monitor. Most probable this happens because of the Video card and the RAM problem.

Re: BenQ FP2091 monitor not starting

If all of the mentioned things are not solving this problem then there is the problem in the connections. Remove all the connections of your computer system and reconnect them properly. Doing this will solve this problem if there is not any hardware damage problem. Otherwise if it is not solved then either the VGA Display cable of the monitor is not working or else the VGA Cable port of the CPU is damaged and not working. Check for this and replace or repair the hardware which is causing the problem.
