GTX 285 OEM Fan plastic protection

I wanted toi buy a new GTX 285 OEM yesterday but i saw that it had an extra plastic part connected to the side of the card fan (about 10cm long and same width as card). Does anyone know what is that part for pls?

I really need help since i need this urgently for gaming!!!

Dont bother about that extra plastic part the new cards come with such design which also provides some heat dissipation and maintain temperature so you are not having problem with fixing it on board then dont bother

No man. this is an extra part that is attached to this card. i have already seen a dozen of reviews on the internet and there is never this plastic part. it is attached on the fan lateral side man. what do you think is this?

Hi, I have seen EVGA GeForce GTX 285 Mac Edition, but is not having any plastic on it. It is a design look which is given by the company. It is fastest single GPU consumer-priced graphics card to date. And it is Best Mac card for Bootcamp/Windows gaming I've seen. So, I would suggest you to buy it and use it.

I have seen GTX 285 OEM and as per my knowledge the extra plastic part is a part of your graphic card,You don't have to worry about it.
