ATI Radeon 3870 overheating

Hi
I'm running an Intel Core 2 E8800 with a Radeon HD 3870 card. The card worked fined but after some time it overheating with any game where Idle temperature is around 45c, but after starting with game it reaches to 111c and then restart. please help me how to solve this ? how to reduce overheating of ATI Radeon 3870

The problem must be due to air circulation and your room that where your computer is so overall combination is not providing good room for air to circulate through air and so overheating now you can first check that your driver is proper and updated and else try better to go for extra cooler

ATI was forced to combine on a single map two Radeon HD 3870. A Crossfire disguised somehow. Disguised as a reference because Crossfire is absent from the control panel of ATI drivers. NVIDIA had already made such a maneuver so better to upgrade driver and try

the Radeon HD 3850 is generally down compared to the GeForce 8800 GTS, while the Radeon HD 3870 will unfortunately not able to outperform the GeForce 8800 GT. Actually it outperform under load where you can hope with the good cooler and updated driver..
