question Make XP go straight to monitor

Does anyone have an idea for setting an external monitor to default without starting XP? I recently cleared off XP and it has a cracked screen; So I can't see the registration fields. I've tried using TAB to get through but can't get past the first page. Thanks in advance for any help!
Btw: It's an Acer netbook and I've already looked in the BIOS for a setting like that and could not find one. The BIOS on these things are very simple.

As far As Setting External Monitor , i dont think you need to make any settings or adjustment , you just need to connect the External Monitor to Vga-out of your Acer notebook , You can Find that on the back of your notebook , next time when you start the pc , both monitors gets the display

May it is not possible to boot Windows XP disc on the dual monitor. If you have the option available in BIOS then only it is possible. Otherwise you will need a working Windows XP and by entering in Display Properties you can assign the other monitor as the default for use. Check out your BIOS settings for the same.
