Re: Firewire to HDMI

There is no actual adapter that you could use to connect from Firewire to HDMI. HDMI uses lossless data with HDCP and Firewire is lossy (MPEG) with no HDCP. So both rworks on different standards. HDMI is fast interface with around 5 Gbps while IEEE1394 (Firewire) is only capable of 400 Mbps.

Re: Firewire to HDMI

HDMI is not a signal, is a type of connection capable of carrying signals of various kinds, particularly suitable for high-definition signals, the firewire the same concept, but is used for less demanding signals such as bitrate and compressed.Well, usually the objects (rooms) with HDMI output also have the firewire output perhaps downscale ....so for your connection you can try some card like Intensity Pro which offers HDMI input and out put

Re: Firewire to HDMI

You can Buy the mini to VGA adapter and a VGA cable also try this miniDVI to DVI and a DVI to HDMI connectors. The Mini-DVI to DVI adapter is designed for the iMac (Intel Core Duo), MacBook, and 12-inch PowerBook G4 — allowing you to connect to an external DVI monitor. It can also be used in combination with the Apple DVI to ADC adapter to support older Apple flat panel Studio or Cinema Displays.
