If you really want to inject the spdif output on the contrary spdif not and neither does sound cards resampling internally then you can try something. Indeed, a sound card and normally do not consist of internal re-sampling will synchronize on the incoming stream. And as what is between what sort of other sound card sync the two is guaranteed.
