I have the ATI Radeon 3100 256 MB graphics card on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, i just want to know whether its well enough to play the games like fallout3 and resident evil 5 etc? I'm going to purcahse some games soon, but before that i want to make sure that my laptop having enough grpahics memory to play those games. Please advice me, i searched the google about ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card performance but couldn't found anything. Thanks in advance for help.

This ATI Radeon 3100 GPU is inbuilt in the laptop and uses the 256 chipset, 894MB of system memory for graphics. The Radeon 3100 is a downgraded version of the Radeon 3200 on HP notebooks are often used. The 3200 is equivalent to NVIDIA's low-end dedicated GPU. Not sure about performance in the 3100 games, but it must be good.

Yes, it's good. The Radeon 3100 is part of the class now in HD IGP range and type of portable entertainment. Its total memory can support up to 1519MB, but this will limit your RAM 2833MB to 4096MB. If the game require more GPU power and use less RAM is a sacrifice to improve the other. But yeah in games like Crysis and resident evil 5 , you'll have less FPS .
