How to Use a TV as a Monitor

I recently bought samsung 29 inch TV, now i want to use me tv as monitor. So i can access or view my computer through TV. Can any one tell me how to use a tv as a monitor?

Find the appropriate adapter for your connections (tv > computer).You may need to get an adapter so you can hook up your computer to the TV. The ATI's Radeon X1950 PRO video card is also good choice, it includes composite, s-video, and component video connections for analog signals.

To Connect your laptop to your TV, you need VGA cable. If you have a TV compatible output on your computer, such as an S-video jack, just take an S-video cable and connect it to your computer and your TV. If no, then connect the VGA external monitor port on your laptop. Connect the other end of the cable to the VGA port at the back of your TV. Use the remote control to switch the TV input to PC.

You can basically use any PC (desktop or laptop) with a TV if the PC is capable of using a Video Card with TV In/Out. Your TV's usual video signal is called NTSC. The signal generated by your computer is higher than the TV signal. You can get an adapter for an HDTV that will give you higher resolutions.
