Some displays are guaranteed 0 defective pixels, others have no guarantee therefore have to live with.

The difference between a dead pixel and defective?
A dead pixel is definitely dead what is described in one or more of the three alpha channels not responding.
A defective pixel can be revived by software that can be found on the net (I never had a result), their objective is to scan a maximum of colors in a minimum time (multicolor strobe type). check here for more dead pixel

Dead Pixel Buddy is an essential tool for owners of an LCD display. This software allows you to determine whether one or more pixels of your screen is defective and this in all simplicity.Indeed, once started Dead Pixel Buddy will display an image totally black, white, green, blue ... It will be easier to detect on your own pixel dead.Options and advice is of course now you can choose a custom display and view a variety of damaged pixels example, to better recognize them.

One of the disadvantages of LCD TV is that with increasing size, increasing the number of pixels and transistors required. For producers it was difficult to ensure that all these elements reach the same high quality standards. Occasionally some pixels stop working (so called "dead pixels") and can interfere with vision. Just visit to local service center.
