Video Card problem with HP Pavillion a1101n

I am using HP Pavillion a1101n. From past 6-7 days, I am facing problems with my monitor. The problem is I am getting green spots on my monitor. I also tried my system on different monitor to identify the issue, but the same problem repeats. So it's the problem of video card.

Anybody please suggest where can I find video card for my HP Pavillion a1101n and how to install it ?

    thanks

It seems that your graphic card is corrupted. Before purchasing a new graphic card, I would suggest you to update or re-install the drivers of your graphic card and check whether the problem is getting solved.

    • Go to My Computer
    • Right-click
    • Select Properties
    • Click on Hardware tab
    • Under Device Manager, click on Device Manager
      - A list of all the hardware devices installed in your system appears.
    • Find Sound, video and game controllers
    • Click on '+' sign
    • Find your graphic card
    • Right-click and select Update Drivers

To install a new graphic/video card on your system, follow the instructions below :

Whilst system is booting up, press F8 repeatedly. You should get a listing of boot options. From that, select Safe Mode.
Once you are in Safe Mode and logged on as the administrator --
Rightclick My Computer and select Properties.
Then select the Hardware tab and click on the Device Manager button.
Click on the + sign by your display adapters.
Right click on the onboard graphics controller, and select disable, not install.
Logoff and turn off your system.

Now, you have to install your new graphics card.
Plug everything back, close the case and turn ON your system back.
Once you are logged in, a message should appear similar to - "I found new hardware".
Click on it and install by correcting following the installation steps.

HP Pavilion a1101n supports modules made with a specific type of chip. A low cost or a cheaper memory may possibly not work in your system.
