How to clean Monitor screen

Hi,

I have a Samsung desktop monitor & I don't know what is on the screen. Its a black dot on the screen & I have tried to remove it but its still there.
I want to know that how can I clean the monitor screen. I know we can clean Monitors just like we do with the CDs & DVDs. I would like to know if someone helps me out.

Hey I want to know How to clean the CDs & DVds that wont work fine in my DVD drive. I know they are old but still I have some important data on it & if works then it will be very good for me.
I want that data so please let me know How to clean those Old Cds & DVDs?

Hello,

I know How people clean the Disks. There are many ways to do this but the only way I prefer is To clean it from inside out from center to edge with straight strokes without scrubbing. This is it & you are fine with the CDs. There are Papers but it's bad, too abrasive. Soft cotton, preferably lint-free cotton, is what you can use for cleaning.
There are also number of solutions that are available in the market.

For cleaning CRT monitor you can use any kind of glass cleaner. While cleaning the monitor with any kind of solution you must unplug the monitor fro power supply. You can use isopropyl alcohol mixed with water in equal parts. If the black spot or dot you mentioned is not removed then may be its a dead pixel on your monitor that you need to check first. With time such monitors get bad. If its not getting clean then your monitor must be going bad & its time to buy a new monitor. While cleaning the monitor with any kind of solution you must unplug the monitor fro power supply. You can use isopropyl alcohol mixed with water in equal parts
