What frequency is best for eyes

I have a 17" CRT Monitor. I want to know what frequency can i use my monitor on? What frequency is best for eyes? I sometimes have headache when i sit for long hours infront of the computer. So just concerned. Please help! My current frequency is 60Hz. Is that ok?

The frequency is the refresh rate of your monitor. The logic is, the higher the frequency, the higher is the eye comfort as you get the display more clear. 60Hz was alright with ancient times. I recommend you to change the monitors' frequency [refresh rate] higher. There must be a list, keep on selecting the one step higher and check if it works. Keep the highest settings that work... All the best!

Thanks for your suggestion. I think i have a problem. I switched my refresh rate frequency to 70Hz. I only have two options in the list box. 60Hz and 70Hz. Is this normal? or am i doing something wrong? Mine is a 17" CRT Monitor. Is 70Hz ok? Please advice me...

Try this out :

Right-Click on Desktop
Click on Properties
Click on Settings Tab
Click on Advance
Click on Monitor

There below the list box, you will find a check box, which says "hide modes which this monitor cannot display". Uncheck this box and now you will have many more options. Try which one suites you the best...
