I am using Windows XP with Internal Intel 845GL chipset, 2.2 Ghz Celeron Processor, and 3 PCI expansion slots. My existing graphic card is finally got damaged and now i am planning to upgrade to some one new. After spending time i came to two options: Radeon 9250 and Geforce 5200. I am confused in this both cards. What do you guys think about radeon 9250 vs geforce 5200 ?

Re: radeon 9250 vs geforce 5200

Well, as per me both radeon 9250 and geforce 5200 are bare minimum for 3D studio max. But most of my colleagues says that Radeon 9250 provides the perfect balance of advanced 3D graphics, an enhanced multimedia experience and multi-monitor support. Where GeForce FX 5200 deliver best-in class performance and features. With a GeForce FX or PCX mainstream GPU inside your PC, you can experience cinematic-quality effects, studio-quality color, and the industry-leading performance and rock-solid driver stability you expect from NVIDIA. Similarly the Radeon 9250 GPU supports dual monitors by default. Finally, in the matter of cost Geforce is more more advanced technologically than the Radeon.

GeForce 5200 is even good for the gamers. It goes beyond the polygon-pushing rhetoric and improve the quality of each and every pixel, packing a double-edged cinematic sword that puts even the closest competitors to shame. Whereas Radeon 9200 has four rendering pipelines for the fastest 3D gaming performance in its class, Full support for the AGP 8X standard doubles available bandwidth for more engaging characters and environments, 128MB of DDR memory and Support for a 128MB frame buffer ensures long-term support for next-generation games and applications.
