i recently purchased msi9800gt graphic card which require 400w system power supply and a 6pin pcie power connector

i want to know will this smps give enough power to 9800gt graphic card to run perfectly bcz i know some smps give less power then written on it

Well, I think there should be no problem with 400w SMPS to provide power supply to your msi9800gt graphic card. But on the safer side, I would recommend you to get slightly higher power supply to avoid any problems.

You didnt mention your budget, but you can go for this Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500W ATX 12V it will cost you around 35$ to 40$.

You absolutely should not use a 400 watt power supply to attempt to run a 9800 GT, regardless of its advertised amperage or features.

Get at least a 500 watt, with at least the recommended amperage (22 to 24 amps) on the 12 volt rail.

Check with Newegg and watch the specials. I got a Apevia 700 watt on sale for $45 not too long ago.
