AMD is working to deliver the first DirectX-capable graphics cards in time for the availability of Windows 7.
DirectX 11 features such as tessellation will bring consumers higher quality, superior performing games making use of 6th generation AMD technology.Owners of select AMD graphics cards can already see the advantages of tessellation, and the superior quality it delivers, in combination with DX10.1, for the time being. There were three main pillars of impact associated with DirectX 11 said Richard Huddy, Sr. manager, Developer Relations at AMD.
The processes will be transparent to the users which will seamlessly accelerate the conversion of video playback on portable media players through a drag-and-drop interface.Another DirectX 11 feature, the compute shader, will enable AMD's DirectX 11 graphics cards to help make Windows 7 run faster in a wide number of applications and in a manner that's completely transparent to users, for example, in seamlessly accelerating the conversion of video for playback on portable media players through a drag-and-drop interface.Huddy indicated that DX11 was tested extensively and that the technology outperformed previous versions.
