Mitsubishi dlp blinking green light problem

Recently when I turned my Mitsubishi dlp ON, the green light started blinking rapidly without displaying any picture. This blinking green light causes irritation to eyes when looked for few seconds continously. I also tried to disconnect power and then started using the system reset button, then also it continued to blink.
how can I get rid out of this? Any suggestions or ideas.....

I was also facing the same problem - blinking horizontal green lines on the screen and picture won't display only the sound is heard. This is really sad and disappointing since we have hardly use this TV because most of the time we are out of town and hence we don't watch much TV. I tried to call a service person but he asked for huge amount say around $900, so we neglected.....

Which model of Mitsubishi dlp are you having ? However, let me tell you that Mitsubishi has stopped making the parts of some of its TV models. So calling a technician would cost you a huge amount for repairing. You need to send the part of the TV unit back to the company so that they can fix it.
