| SMPS for Sapphire HD4850
.The problem is that i have a 1.5 year old cheap (Rs.500) 450W PSU. I also have a voltage stabilizer attached to my CPU. My question is should I buy a new PSU for the HD 4850. If I do then can I buy a cheap PSU just for the card since i already have a separate stabilizer. Config: Intel E7200, Gigabyte 630i (GA 73PVM-S2H) |

Get a better PSU like Cooler Master 600W or 500W. Make sure that it will fit in your cabinet. Your 450W will not be able to run HD4850 properly.

Is it necessary for me to go for brand like Cooler Master. Can I buy a cheap PSU since i already have a voltage stabilizer that i can attach it with. What advantage would a cooler master PSU have over a normal 600W PSU with voltage stabilizer attached to it. I don't to spend too much on the PSU. |

i too have a "unknown" PSU and a stabliser . but i would suggest u to go for a good PSU i dont think that anything will get spoilt if ur PSU is under load but i feel dat ur comp might restart on a daily basis so get used to it but to be on a safer side go for a good PSU like coolmaster or corsair. ![]() |
