Monitor display problem in Windows 7

I was running Windows Xp as my operating system. I directly installed Windows 7 without any upgrade. I'm using a 32" LCD screen as my monitor. Now the problem is that i'm unable to get screen resolution as well as the color management in order to adjust the monitor screen. Another problem is that even my Windows is recognizing my tv as 17" vga standard monitor. Can any body tell me that why i'm having such problem on my system? Why doesn't my Windows recognize my tv as 32" instead of 17" monitor? Kindly provide me the solution for the above issue. Any kind of help on the above issue would be appreciated.

I think you should try to remove your VGA cable from your monitor and use the DVI cable for it. When you will try to reboot your system, it will recognize straight away and you need to just select the native resolution by default for your monitor screen.

It think it can be possible that there is a broken or loose wire in the connector which connects your video adapter to your system. Its highly recommended that you contact an experienced person who can repair your wire or other wise you can buy out another wire for your system.

You can try to solve the above issue by tweaking the display settings from the Settings tab in "Display" which you will get it in your Control Panel.
