Want to upgrade from 9600GT to 4830

hi,
i have intel 945 motherboard with NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and i am looking for a new graphic card (radeon 4830). will this perform better than my old 9600?I definitely wouldn't have to worry about my PSU.Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

you are not gonna see that much of improvement in performance after upgrading 9600gt card.specially with 4830.

Purely performance-wise, i think 4830 is not much beeter than 9600gt.

Yes the 4830 is a better card when all things are considered and I'm pretty sure the 4830 performs the best and is the best overall card.I agree with everyone about scratching the 9600gt. if your going to overclock then 4830 will be the best.because it goes near the same level as 4850.here yoy can see the difference between 4830 and 9600GT.

Go for the 4830, it is better than 9600gt, it's almost the same price as the 9600gt but more powerful. Even at the higher resolutions, an HD4830 card will show better improvements in it's performance as compare to other cards like an ATI 4650 or 9600GT.

i think its not worth upgrading, coz u will not get much improvement for the price, ,,,ah, if it would have been choosing between 9600gt n 4830, i would suggest u to go with 4830... or else, u should go with ATI 4770, it performs better than 4830, at same price n also consumes little less watts than 4830...
if u have a good smps, then u should instead buy another 9600gt n run in sli n the performance will be a lot better than single 4830...
