GTX 260 gives triangles during game

hi,
i recently bought a new gtx 260 it works fine but it gives an trangle during game and the screen goes completely black and the only thing I can do is manually restart the computer.is that problem related with my graphic card?Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

Which drivers are you using?What are your temps and voltages while games are running? What powersupply are you using? Have you downloaded the latest drivers for the card?

I don't think its a windows or motherboard issue. It sounds like its in the video card. Are you sure the fan on the video card is operating? If you try reseating the card and know for sure the fan is operating on the card, then you can try reinstalling windows. Reinstalling windows is quite simple since it will just install over your present system. Your refresh rate is good but your resolution , in my opinion, is set too high. Did you try turning it down one notch to see what happens.
