Single GTX 295 or two GTX 285

Hi i am planning to replace my replace my 8800 GTX with GTX 295 or GTX 285 . I currently have an Core i7 920. My Question is, should I go for GTX 285 with the intent of adding an additional GTX 285 or should i buy single GTX 295 ?

Two 285's would be perform better, but they would also cost more. We can't make this decision for you, what is more important value or performance. Either one of them will play and game out right now.

A pair of GTX 285's is a bit faster than a single GTX 295 if both at the stock clock without OVERCLOCK. while you look at the specifications it will become obvious. Both cards (285s SLI)still have 2 seperate GPU's on 2 seperate (for the most part).
