nVidia Display Driver Stopped Responding

Hello, I've been having awful problems trying to watch anything using Windows Media Center and BBC iPlayer (flash-based streaming player). I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and running a BFG 8800GTX OC2 768MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out HDCP enabled PCI-E Graphics Card using a liquid cooling system and exhaust fans.

I've checked the temperature of the GPU (56°c) and downloaded the latest drivers; still having the same problems. Could someone please help me to resolve this issue?

Examples of the issue:

Hey!
I had a similar issue with my GeForce graphics card... The different color pixels is a result of a bad hardware memory or memory buffers, that is Graphics memory and or buffers. You need to change your graphics card or if its still under warranty go for it..! All the best...!

Re: nVidia Display Driver Stopped Responding

try updating all your main component drivers. Chipset especially. There may be a strange conflict between your modern updated vid drivers and your mobo's chipset drivers. Try to update them and see what happens.

Re: nVidia Display Driver Stopped Responding

Thank you both for your help.

Rudra, it was ordered on 29/09/2007; although I have had this problem for a very long time and have been reluctant to send it back because 1. I have installed a water block onto the card and threw away the stock fan and 2. obviously without the card I would not be able to use the PC until I got a replacement (which is impractical). I don't know whether it would still be covered? I bought it from ebuyer, what do you think?

Hockson, I will do an update now and see what happens as you say. I have tried doing this in the past and it has made no difference.

Re: nVidia Display Driver Stopped Responding

Having updated all the drivers for my motherboard, I tried to watch something on iPlayer and this is the result.

Having said that, I haven't yet restarted the computer.

Hey!
Seriously speaking there is no fix for your problem...! All you can do is, dump your card and get a new one...! Because there is no way you could fix the problem of the memory or replace the IC by hand soldering... Get a new card. All the best...!
