    ATI CrossFire 4870 or 4830

    hi,
There are now 4870 (Sapphire) version 512 mb , but is not it more interesting to make a CrossFire 4830 for a price slightly higher? What do you think?

I read up to 30% more performance under the games for the crossfire. Or is it wiser to take a 4870 for cheap and make a 4870 crossfire later (in 6 months or 1 year) by buying second hand or cheaper.

    hi,
If you want to have a setup that surpasses in most cases the Radeon HD 4870 1GB edition, having less noise than the standard Radeon HD 4870 cooling setup and have a lot of room for overclocking, we highly recommend this Radeon HD 4830 CrossFire solution. It is just perfect, you can always start with one and buy a second one later on and combine these together to bump the performance to enjoy your favorite games.

When you mix and match cards, both are capped at the performance of the lesser. If you add a 4830 your 4870 will start acting like a 4830. It would be no different than having two 4830s in CF.

Take a 4870! You're on perfs in all games and applications while a crossfire does not work on 100% of them ...
Secondly consumption is less for the single map.
