Hello,
My question is:
I have an Asus motherboard P5NE-SLI and I have two graphics cards:
1 gigabyte 8600 gt 256 mb GDDR3
1 XFX 9600 GSO 384 MB GDDR3
My doubt is whether I can put in sli the two to work together for the games
Thanks in advance

Not in SLI, that should be equal, but as I understand it (please check first just in case) you can mount two graphics that move the game and the other is responsible for the physical, so if you do not ask me how.
As you said no SLI. The subject of physics is different, but I think from the 9000 series can be allocated to a single physical board, which would not be much point since 8600 as the plate for 3D.
In reality, the physical support is from the 8000 series, which is the setup method, but it is more sensible to take a look at Nvidia's website.
Well, as you said, the physical support is from the nvidia 8 series. What you should do is install the geforce pack (comprised of drivers, demos and more) or just install what you want from that pack.
Once installed in the control panel, you will usually select the physical setting, is where you choose what you want to make each card.

Hello , My question is simple, I Think my motherboard can support two graphics cards of different brands of Card , so i want to ask, can we use two different graphics cards , I wanted to know if two different sli graphics cards combination is possible or not , please help me thank in advance
Hello , I have not tried SLI with 2 different graphics card , but I think you can connect two different cards, but in the same series, so for the 7900GT and 6800GT it will certainly not be possible. but for For example, a 7600GS with a 7900GT, could be a could be could combination
always heard that SLI required two cards of the same type and same brand. but Possibly i can yes,you can SLI with 2 different graphics card provided that the cards are exactly the same type, two 6800GT, a XFX and Asus for example.
The need to use 2 cards with completely identical bios has disappears, it is even possible to combine 2 cards with different frequencies as a 6800 GT with a 6800 Ultra .... but despite these flexibility from nvidia , Ati is a step ahead because it system can combine 2 different cards. The battle between Nvidia's SLI and ATI Crossfire may be tough in the coming months!
In order to provide optimal symmetric scaling, SLI technology requires the NVIDIA GPUs to match. For example, a GeForce 7800 GTX must be paired with another GeForce 7800 GTX. Likewise, a GeForce 6600 GT must be paired with another GeForce 6600 GT. However, using the latest Release 80 or later graphics drivers, NVIDIA GPUs sold by different manufacturers can be used together in an SLI configuration. For example, a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor ABC can be matched with a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor XYZ.
