4850x2 or gtx280?

I have a GTX 260, and but I still play older games like WarRock,i want to replace a GTX 280 with an Radion 4850X2. so does anybody here have any advice?

the 4850X2 card would benefit from a performance lead between 8 to 34 percent in current titles against the GTX280. the card is cheaper than the GTX280, at around $399. The GPU should run at 625MHz and it will feature 2 GB of GDDR3 which also determines the lower cost.

I would always opt for the better single card instead of two cards (well, the x2 is technically one card, but it's really like two). Not everything scales well with two GPUs or more. Plus, if you have an SLI-enabled motherboard, you could always upgrade to two 280s.

I would recommend the 280,Only my opinion from having had a 3870x2 which was very disappointing, when the games are well optimised, they're great cards, but if not, you'll be using just one 4850. For your resolution, again I'd recommend a 280GTX. If it was a 4870x2, rather than a 4850x2.
