    Sapphire HD4850 problem

    Hello everyone,

After a long day of work, I come home I start the PC. The screens do not illuminate. I do a reset, the same thing. I disconnect, reconnect and recovery. Still nothing.

Then I open the tower, I retest, and I discovered that the fan of the Graphics card (Sapphire HD4850 is not running)

For information on a pc 2 weeks, and despite the fact that the Graphics card is noisy, I did not have to worry by yesterday, the PC had the same problem but it was ignited at the second attempt.

The card is connected to the PCIe.
    I tested without any device
    I removed the PCI cards
    I tested on another prize
I removed and then put the graphics card

What I do not understand is that the screens should light up, even in case of fan failure ... Moreover, it illuminates for 3 seconds and cuts ...

    Someone has an idea?

    thank you

What's your power supply ? Well you have to try the card on another pc and / or another card on your pc.

We know it can never be the motherboard too, although it is likely that either the graphics card should therefore verify.

When I boot, the Graphics Card runs, a small red light comes on, it's a light that is overheating, but the card is not hot as it is just starting. Maybe this is it?

Red ad certainly a serious concern, may be due to overheating earlier, the graphics card may well be dead. Maybe the chip was of poor quality, giving it a bad reliability by overheating.

The trick is that this indicator was still on, and this, so very briefly. Otherwise:

I started the PC, with the SO disconnected from the AGP, but still PCIe.
The fan started normally. I concluded that the PCIe cable is not worried. So it is either the Graphics Card or the Motherboard.
