Infinite Reboot after installing a 9600GT

    Hello everyone!

I turn to you because I have a problem that parrait me suspicious and I can not solve.

I bought a 9600GT 1024MB GAINWARD site on a VPC to replace my aging 7600GS.

I started by uninstalling the drivers for my 7600GS and remove it from the system before the change. The problem is that when I try to start my pc with my 9600GT connected to the PCI-E .the pc is starting up but at the time of posting of the BIOS: reboot the pc.

For info I check the compatibility, and plugged the power supply on the card (which requires a complement of food).

    Thank you in advance

    My configuration:
    • Asus P5N-E SLI
    • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
    • MAD MPS-X-550 (550W)
    • 800Mhz Mushkin 2x1Gb
    • Diamond Max 200GB
    • + 1 Hercules wifi card on a PCI slot.
IF you hate me, please don't mention it. I know who hates me and who doesn't. You really do not have to make fun of people....

No neither could you tell me how to stop? I still doubt on the problem of registry or drivers because the pc reboot before the screen of the BIOS, as if there were any objections to plugged into the PC.

A 9600GT consumes a little more than a 7600GS, and your quad for a power supply that delivers the maximum 216w on the 12v, it's just:

Otherwise, you have a 12v, you have not marked 12v1, 12v2?

    I have not checked there was only +5.5 V, +3.3 V, +12 V,-12V,-5V, +5 V / SB
In the case where it comes from the food you advise me what power supply ?
