Dual-monitor mode: Quickly switch the primary monitor?

I have my game PC (Windows XP, Geforce 8800 GTS, 640 MB), a monitor and an LCD TV and use it in exchange for Gamen. Switching between displays is unfortunately quite cumbersome / annoying because you always have the current primary display must be switched to the display properties to complete the change. Is there a possibility the whole thing to simplify? Is there possibly a shortcut that allowed me to quickly and easily, the primary display to change?

Getting dual monitors to work correctly seems to be a hit or miss affair. In many cases, it's just a matter adding a second video card and monitor and rebooting the computer. In other cases, you need to do some cyber gymnastics to get things working correctly.

So you only have one monitor plugged into the pc right now? If this is the case its using what used to be the other one as the default. Have you switched the monitor on the video card to the other input.
