Leadtek WinFast PX9800 GTX Bios Update

Leadtek releases new BIOS to solve some problems caused by power saving function of its Geforce 9800GTX +.

Models PX9800 GTX graphics cards over the mark can sometimes suffer from occasional display problem caused by the random activation of power saving mode. Map sometimes decreases its frequency of operation at its lower values to reduce its consumption, whereas it is heavy duty and there is therefore no reason to do so. Leadtek says that the new BIOS corrects these problems completely, and that there is no desire to be on the material itself. The brand strongly advise people who have already seen this kind of corruption image flash the BIOS of the card with the new version, available on this page to its official site.

Read The Official Press Release Here

    Dear Customers
For users who bought PX9800 GTX+ before Feb.15th, 2009 (Part No. PN#63B20292, 63B20295). Due to a firmware issue, the extreme-low clock mode will be unexpectedly activated, it causes the frequency of GPU & memory temporary drop, and some users may rarely have screen corruption. We firmly believe this issue does not relate with hardware design or materials.

We do apologize for any inconvenience to you. Please download new BIOS and re-flash graphics card by using WinFox II utility, the new BIOS will fix this issue caused by extreme–low clock mode. Sorry for any unpleasant use experience of the firmware issue.

For further information or services, please contact our local distributors.

There are no problems with the product warranty? If you flash with another bios, I guess the warranty but if you jump wrong with the flash bios provided by Leadtek, what? The guy who does not read regularly the sites of science, he ends up with random lags while playing without knowing why.

Good question ... Sony for example, replace the motherboard of its Vaio if it is damaged by a flash BIOS that goes wrong ... What about Leadtek? , I never managed to notch a graphics card in the flash though ... (operation carried out at least a dozen times on different NVidia 8xxx and 9xx)

If editing in the bios, that is with a flash utility under DOS and bios changed. In the case of a bios provided by the manufacturer is often a utility already containing the bios that can be used under Windows and it just launched.
