dual screen problem with radeon 1900 GT

I can not do bi-screen on my PC. 2 screens are plugged in but my screen only basic functions. the detection of the second is inconclusive and it remains on standby ...

right click on your desk and property parametrize tab and you place the two ecran well (drag move )
then you click on the second boat and you extend the desktop to this screen
it should do so finally I had ca walk with my 8600 gt

what you're two screens are VGA or DVI?
