Please post your comments and the pricelist and City's name here.

At those prices, the 9800XT seems like a better deal than 9800 pro!!

in my city(vizag).a riva TNT still costs 4000!!!

    and an mx440 128mb costs 15000!!!!!

    Model Memory City Price

    MX400 128MB Mysore 2800

    FX5200 " " 3400

    MX440 64MB " 2800 (out of stock???)
    (128 bit)

ya 4.5k more ! for a bba its a good deal . i thought it would have been a bit more.. play all games at 1280*1024 with aa etc turned on ? but these days everyone just buys a 9800pro and flashes it

Aces theres is a prob with the XFX 6800GT price, the dealer mentioned the above price while the website lists it as 26500/-. I think u better change it to the latter.
    Which website?

Yep this site has always been the lowest till date, will have to check some others but I don't think they'll have more than a few dollars diff in prices...

Thanks Vulcan. Most of these sellers really seem disinterested most of the time. Only Rashi and Mediatech seem helpful. Any idea how much Rashi sells their 6800 GT and Ultra for?
    Yup the Asus X800XT PCI-E costs 47k .............The Asus v9999GE or the plain 6800 with 1ghz memory and 256Mb GDDR3 costs 32k.

Asus graphics card prices are always ridiculous. I'd buy the gainward cards instead. Better build quality, guaranteed ocing, decent support and a hell of a lot cheaper.

6600GT has 3 vertex units and 8 pixel pipelines and GDDR-3 memory compared to 9800pro's 2 vertex units and 8 pixel pipelines with DDR or DDR-2 memory

i would pick 6600GT over 9800pro/xt anytime.....but seriously doenst needed it currently.

    MX4000 64MB = 2400
    MX4000 128MB = 3000
    FX5200 128MB = 3200

    all cards are 64-bit ones

Is the 6600(non-gt) AGP available in India too
AGP versions of 6600GT are not yet out in India. It could take a while..

bigbyte will have the agp 6600gt by 27th nov....

27th will be the end of the weak --saturday

    XFX Geforce 6600GT - 15.5k
Got it yesterday. Rocks in Doom 3
Where u from from Stargazer and did u purchase it from any branches BigByte india, 'cause afaik only they are the only one selling it in India if its AGP
Bangalore prices. Nope, sourced it through our dealer, not directly from BigByte.

DUDE!!! 15.5 k in blore??? with those 13% taxes.... then its a great deal, coz the new new one retails for 300$$ abroad, that is about 13 - 13.5k.....

anyone here tot of 6800 ultra 256?

^^ Are you sure, I want some more feedback regarding the same so I can post in the prices link.

Nah ! cant be the 1Ghz AGP version shud be bewteen 14-14.5k easily, The PCI-E should ne around 13.5k.

Yeah the prices of XFX 6600gt AGP have fallen to 12.5k, they are also available here in delhi at that price too.
Hopefully, i would buy one by this tuesday, i will let u know all what are the clock speeds.

BTW in other news Rashi has announced Geforce 6200 Turbocache version to be available@Rs.4500. Now that's tremendous value for money

@Aces, u start a sticky threads for pricelist along with the additional info. like city, dealer name and contact no and last updated date. If anybody got the latest information, he/she should PM you and you update that thread. Then there will be no need for everybody to keep asking about the latest prices and there will be one reference point for prices in the forum. It will be just there for reference and no one should post a reply or comment on that thread.

    eg:-

    Component - CPU (AMD)

Model - City - Price - Updated on - Dealer - Contact No.
    -------------------------------------------------------
    64 2800+ (754)
    64 3000+ (754)
    -------------------------------------------------------

    Component - Motherboard (AMD)

Model - City - Price - Updated on - Dealer - Contact No.
    -------------------------------------------------------

    -------------------------------------------------------

Is the Asus gamer edition a vanilla 6800 with higher clocks or the 6800GT or Ultra. DOes the Powercolor X800 XT have speeds of 500/1000 or 520/1120?

Shucks I seem to cause a problem everytime people are reminded I'm in Sydney. I thought TA had no problems with people from abroad signing up to be members.

I'm sorry if I misread, what, Aces170 started this thread with.

My Mistake. and if there is an issue I can always quit posting. I come here with the intention to share my knowledge, experience or information that I find on the web. But would hate to cause any friction or hurt to anyone.

Zookeeper - If I once again have misread your sarcasm for a geniune post I apologise to you as well.

Just thought you guys would like to be informed of prices in diff parts of the world. With regards to carrying stuff back to India. I have no problems with that. The only problem is time, since I don't think I'll be able to make it back until the middle of next year. Since I only just got here.

Heh, I apologise all around, I guess I went off the deep end there, just sorta felt people were pissed of with me, and my posts from here...

    Ahh well, here goes...

Site I got these prices of is

http://www.pluscorp.com.au, they've been the cheapest I could find from all the hardware sites here.

    To Mumbai Members,

Does Mediatech have ready stocks of the Powercolor X800 XT, 6800 gt golden sample and 6800 ultra. This would be very helpful since I plan to get on by the end of the month or early next month. ALso does Rashi have the V9999 ultra or GT only?

All these prices r still very much unjustifiably high.I dont understand, when things like mobile phones r finally available at competitive prices in India and most Hw products like Hdds, processors and monitors r very close to intl prices, why r video cards and high-end mobos still so much more expensive compared to intl. markets?
And there is no "grey market" like Gaffar in Delhi for Mobile stuff ,for video cards and mobos as such.
Hope that soon this situation will change.
And if any one wants TA to sell PC-stuff,I think video cards shud b the first priority.

Grey Markets are risky, 'cause they don't offer any warranty and unlike mobile phone, comp parts like Gfx card or mobo can not be repaired.
    Not unless you're DeeJay
So even if there were a Grey market, i wouldn't buy from there.

Whoa, CNGN! Cool down man! I didn't mean to insult you or anything... I just desperately need to know where gfx cards are available, thats all... BTW, you are welcome to post information about whichever country you want. I'm sure there are readers of TA from your country, or there will be, after more posts like yours and info will be helpful irrespective of readership from the desired targets. And I don't think any of the full/senior members would flame you for posting info about "other" countries. Maybe some newbies will do it, but they are only venting their frustration over the lack of communication lines for discussing the local technology scene. Nothing personal. I Hope you understand...

Not much different from Indian prices.... The gigabyte GT is 832*35 that is 29K!!! The gainward goldensample GT is 27K in India. Are you sure those are as low as they could get?

No offence intended but I do know my stuff and am doing my Btech in Elec so even if it were to come to repairing stuff ,I'm game for that.
Grey markets r not all that bad,"good"(relatively speaking) dealers in grey market will replace ur product if found defective immediately. All depends upon how u go about the problem.
Anyway,a grey market is useful coz it helps to save taxes and in this case the taxes on video cards r very high. The govt doesnt really earn much out of these anyway given their low volumes. But alas with Laloos in Govt, who gives a fig about computers and geeky stuff like video cards?
As for Dayanidhi Maran i wud rather call him a Damned Moron ! Introduces fantastic ISP rates then stops shy of his own ISP leading by example on that front.

It'd really be really sad for the whole TA community if you go away. And we do need ppl with FX-53s on this board
