Geforce 8800GS 384 MB directx 10 compatible?

Hello as in the title, I ask this because I bought call of duty 5 and each time (more or less far in the game) a directx error message appears saying that directx encountered a fatal error . i think that my directx is not compatible with my graphics can anybody please give suitable suggestion thank you for your help

you can check on the site of the manufacturer, but I believe that the cards Geforce 8800 GS 384 MB DirectX compatible 10. because i my freind is also using a similar one he said it was directx 10 compatible

Yes they are compatible.this was written on manufacturer website

For your problem i think simply an update of DirectX will do the job.ok hope it does help you

If you have XP then you can use dx9 if you have the vista DX10 ok now give some info about your graphics card and your problem also tell me which os your using and brand of graphics card manufacturer

It is a nvidia GeForce 8800 GS with 384 MB graphics card is a .I am currently on Windows XP Service Pack 3.
