I had serious slowdown in 1280x1024 texture average reported elevated in fact the resolution was too low! went in 1600x1200 and is now almost blurred ...

No, I assure you, this is not the case. This is the first thing I turned. By default I authorize any of my games has to connect to the net, especially when they are armored message like: "your gameplay can be posted on our site, and other small messages"
