hello I doubt between two graphics cards, the ATI 4850 or 260 for the GTX to run Crysis and Far Cry 2. these games run roughly because my 9600 gso only a little.

Two totally different card HD 4870 GTX 260 and 1gb ok but hd4850 and gtx260 this is not the same price
After each has its advantages and inconvenient. If you have a quadcore it will be the optimal quad ati driver to see better perf (the hd4870 1gb probably exceed the gtx260 216 sp)
Personally I advise you to go for HD4870 .

if not, whether one or the other, these two maps are to watch for, you never need to worry.
it seems that ATI is more powerful, but hey, it's not blatant personal and I prefer nvidia compared to the reliability and graphics rendering on a screen HD (less bugs graphics).

The GTX260 far exceeds the HD4850. Now we see what resolution you play.If you have a screen 20 or 22 inches (1680x1050) then Crysis does not run very high with the HD4850, you will take the GTX260.
