Burned Geforce 7950 GX2

Sponsored Links
I have purchased Ace Raw Deal 460W PSU.

Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR2 1066MHz PC2-8500

ASUS P5KPL-CM motherboard

Put everything together and started up, installed XP and the computer was on for maybe 1.5 hours. they began to smell on the computer and then shut it off. burned me of the stagnation of the video cards, so damn hot, my fan in the cabinet side eroded when I removed the page before I started repairing. So I drove it when I started up the computer. (thought they would do great harm when I installed Xp).

Took out the graphics card and saw that wire was melted, but saw nothing strange, but the computer does not want to start with the graphics card in. and it is not wrong at PCIn for it does not work with my old motherboard.

My friend said it was the new nut that played a prank. and my processor going at full speed all the time.

Can someone please tell what is wrong?

The card is broken, I guess? Test the card with another computer and if it doesn't work then the card is broken or faulty for sure.

Sounds undeniable but the power supply could be simply crap. Must have had bad tension or something. Is enough, unfortunately, not much to do. You can see it on the bright side you can get the same performance for around 1000 - the current situation, in a small card. But I understand that you are cursed.

Complain about the power supply and demand damages from the store that sold a product that is obviously harmful for your hardware. Such crap should not be in the market! Buy a real power supply next time. Eg Corsair VX450.

Unfortunately, it is so that one can be fooled quite easily in today's computer hardware market. So we can probably overlook the fact that there are those who make less purchases, just as the market is misleading.

Yes, and then are many PSU in the market of older design and unable 12volts load. Without leaving most of the power of 3.3 and 12volt, as it would be for a 3-4 since. There are ATX 1.0 - 2.2, and even if ACE is to ATX 2.0 specs, it is 15 +15 A on the 12v, very weak for Geforce 7950 GX2.

So should I go for a Corsair VX450 or something else? And dare to squeeze in a new video card?

The best you can get for around a thousand patch is ATI 4850. provides everything according to the price-rank. Corsair VX450 is also a good choice.
